WEEKLY RENTAL - This property has the ability to be rented weekly (7 night minimum stay) all year long. Shipyard Condominiums are located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located 1/4 mile from one of the best beaches on the island. The Shipyard units are single level condominiums which have private courtyards on the first level or balconies on the second level. All properties are outfitted with washer/dryer, pots & pans, towels, linens, have central air conditioning, WIFI, off street parking and pool access.

  I along with 5 other couples rented 5 units in Shipyard Truman Annex, the units had just about everything you needed , units were clean but needed to be updated such as paint , furniture ,mattress’ and a good power washing to decks. My unit was in a great location and lots of deck sun, a nice size for 2 people in a quiet area.The pool area lounge chairs need a good cleaning

  We enjoyed out two week stay in the Sand Crab Cabana. The apartment was well located, clean, and comfortable. We had a couple of issues in the condo that were quickly resolved by the management. Many of the properties in this large complex attract long term residents. Easy to walk to attractions and restaurants around Key West.

  Our vacation rental experience was far from a 10 due to communication with compass Realty, however, the majority of the bad experience could have been taken care of if the condo had keyless entry. Picking up a key at the real estate office is cumbersome and confusing, especially when the lockbox has the incorrect code. Returning the key to the real estate office at departure is also extremely inconvenient as most condos are .4 mile from the real estate office. Therefore keyless entry would solve many problems and make the rental experience much more pleasurable! again, I won’t go into detail as to the communication issues between the compass Realty staff.

  Excellent location. Beautiful deck. Comfortable bed and 's fantastic. Sitting area good.the only negatives were air conditioning ceiling vents were filthy and bedroom dresser should be taller with more drawers for storage therefore the tv would be up higher for better viewing.

  The unit was not as clean as expected. The floors were very dirty and when I pulled out a pan to cook, there was still food in it. I felt I had to wash the dishes before using them. The kitchen faucet was rusted and hard to use. The unit did have good air-conditioning which was great in the Florida summer.

  the condo was clean but the entire unit needs to be upgrade, everything is old. the management co, I will never use again. compass realty office is closed on weekends the two busiest days. ask office during week some question not helpfull(ie: luggage storage, about what time unit available was told would get email never happened)

  Patio furniture was in very poor condition. There’s no full length mirror. There’s hardly any place to put clothing, etc. in the bedroom.
  
  We had parking issues throughout our entire 3 week stay. Many times our “reserved” parking spot was filled when we returned from our day. The lots were full. No one will assist you with this. The security says they can’t help and the management company wouldn’t help either. Very frustrating.

  Perfect location for walking to everything. Chairs were not very comfortable, but you don't expect to hang out in your condo when in Key West. Nothing fancy. Being fussy we'd suggest a taller dresser with more drawers, lower nightstands and lose the fancy bed frame. You can't close the bedroom door with the current one.

  The complex was beautifully landscaped, and very quiet. Others complained about the bed, but my husband and I were just fine. I loved that the closet was full of hangers. It was nice having the washer/dryer so we could do laundry before we left to come home. The bike rental shop and the free Duval Loop is 1 block away. We were so close to everything. But is was nice to leave Duval Street and walk the 2 blocks to our very quiet complex and relax.

  Good location. We did have the following issues:
  -doorknob entering the unit is very loose. Unable to tighten
  -the bedroom had only 1 small dresser (no more than 30" wide
  -bedroom door does not close due to the large bed in a small room. Unit is not good for more than 2 people
  -need shelving in the bathroom. No where to put your necessary items
  -no lights on the deck
  -deck chairs need to be replace. Wicker is broken on many of them
  -blades on the ceiling fans need to be cleaned. Covered with dust.

  We were here for 9 weeks and it was wonderful. Beautiful spot over looking the Waterfront Park. Close to Duval, but not too close. Very nice shower, washer/dryer and kitchen with dishwasher. King size bed is nice in this one bedroom unit. Not the fanciest, but this is Key West not Miami. We have reupped for 2022 already.

  This was our 11th stay at Truman Annex, and it was, once again, a very positive experience. The Annex, is reasonably priced and very quiet (despite being only two blacks from the center of Duval Street). Ft. Zachary Taylor Beach is within walking distance, as are all Old Town Restaurants and Bars.
  
  The management staff ha always been very helpful and courteous. We highly recommend Compass Realty and Truman Annex. We hope to return for many years.
